Ahrashace Bladescales » Descriptions
Personality
Ahrashace is extremely polite upon first meeting someone. He speaks very formally and articulately, and follows all the rules of courtesy, including standing the instant a lady enters the room and refusing to be seated again until the lady does or until he is explicitly told to sit down. He always adds the title "Lord" or "Lady" to every instance of someone's name whenever he speaks to or about them.
He can be brought down to a more casual level of conversation after knowing someone for long enough, but even in casual mode, he is still polite and remains articulate in his speech. Curiously, he is not above adopting nicknames for people once the level of casualness naturally reaches that point, but will still affix the proper titles to them under all circumstances. For example, the first time he met Kjorteo "Teo" Kalante, he referred to him as "Lord Kalante." After enough socializing and familiarity, that changed to "Lord Teo."
Sky dragons are scholarly by nature, and Shace is no exception. Sky dragons in the waking world tend to scatter, living either completely isolated lives or living among other species, and bringing what they learn of their surroundings from all corners of the world to the dream kingdom, where they work on expanding their knowledge and understanding of everything they can. Shace's social growth is somewhat stunted within the dream kingdom, as he is occasionally too single-mindedly studious to notice the other sky dragons. However, he is more or less off-duty in the waking world except for trying to observe and learn, and thus, he is free to be much more openly friendly and sociable.
Because of the nature of the dream kingdom, Shace's perception of public socialization vs. private alone-time is inverted; sleep is for socializing with the rest of his kind and for working on his studies, and his waking hours are where he finds his privacy--after all, the other sky dragons aren't there when he's awake. Relationships with other species while awake are not unheard-of among sky dragons, but are seen as a sort of private matter. Sky dragons view such intimate aspects of their waking lives along the same lines that other intelligent creatures view their masturbatory habits; others can assume they exist, but the details are normally kept to one's self and are generally not considered polite conversation in the dream kingdom. This makes them enticing and exotic to Shace, who has developed a fetish for waking encounters with non-sky dragon species.
Because of the nature of the dream kingdom, Shace tends to be social with other species and to dabble in a great many hobbies just as something to do while awake. As an example, he made his cape-like accessory himself after acquiring the base materials and picking up amateur embroidery. His favorite activity in the world is to fly in circles or other various for-fun patterns over the sea. He finds the view of the open sky over the open sea to be beautiful, especially as a refreshing contrast to the dream kingdom, which is in a sort of fluffy kingdom-in-the-clouds setting which lacks open bodies of water. He considers solo flights over the sea to be the most personal and intimate thing he can do, the one activity above all others in either world in which he truly has time to himself to organize his thoughts.

Dream kingdom and backstory
All sky dragons, including Shace, have the peculiar race trait of a shared, persistent dream world. All sky dragons' dreams are always fully lucid, fully aware, and fully remembered, and all take place in the same shared dream world, where all sky dragons present are fully capable of permanently interacting with the environment and with each other. They have built this realm into a grand civilization, which they call the dream kingdom. Being a persistent world, it bears all the lasting signs of their civilization, including grand architectural structures others have built before them and libraries overflowing with the wisdom of their ancestors.
Shace's ultimate goal in life is to become a master librarian in the dream kingdom. The master librarian is the most revered position in all of sky dragon culture; they are seen as nothing less than the current keeper of all sky dragon knowledge. The path to becoming a master librarian involves almost an entire lifetime of apprenticed and independent scholarly work, and all master librarians to date were already old when they attained the position. As someone who has barely reached maturity, Shace has ages to go, but he at least has his ultimate goal in mind already.
Shace was inspired to pursue this path by what, to him, was a life-changing event: as a young child, his class was given the rare honor of a personal visit from Kieviera Jadewing, the current master librarian. Even at the age when he should have been focused on frolicking and playing with his classmates, Shace somehow recognized that this was a very important figure and that it was an honor to meet him. Master librarian Jadewing spoke to the class, and, impressed with Shace's attentiveness and sense of respect bordering on awe, took him aside, declared that he saw great things in the young Shace's future, and gave him an old quill pen as a souvenir and memento of his visit.
Shace learned a few weeks later that, being as old as he was, master librarian Jadewing was dying, and had decided to visit the younger classes as a sort of final act, trying to inspire them to pick up the torch someday. He was heartbroken to learn of master librarian Jadewing's passing, but awed once again at the viewing of the ceremony that saw the ascension of his successor to the position. From that point on, he knew that he wanted to be a master librarian someday.
Shace still has the quill pen that was given to him that day, and it is his single most treasured possession in the dream kingdom. Whenever his studies become particularly tough, he looks over it, and remembers that encounter, drawing the will to press on. He will live up to master librarian Jadewing's optimistic prediction. He swears it. And while the position of master librarian is something given to what others consider to be the most worthy successor, and not something to be taken through sheer determination like a contested treasure, Shace at least swears he will work as best he can to try to make himself worthy of that honor.

Physical description
Ahrashace (pronounced ar-uh-shaw-see,) or Shace, is a sky dragon. He looks like a western-style non-anthro dragon, roughly six feet high at the shoulders. While his exact age in number of years is open to interpretation, looking at his features and relative age reveals that this is a young adult--he is fully mature, but he can't have been so for very long. He is somewhat lithe for a non-anthro dragon; he is by no means lacking in definition, but he is significantly less burly than most other dragons he has seen.
He comes in various shades of slightly green-tinted blue. Most of his scales being a sort of dark teal, the plates along the neck, chest, belly, and tail underside a lighter cyan, and the wing membranes a very bright, almost etherial-looking turquoise. He has two fairly small straight horns, and external ears. He has very short spines that run the length of the back of his head all the way down his back and to his tail.
His tail tip has no natural spade or adornment, but he wears a metal cover over it that adds purely decorative and unsharpened "blades" extending from points at either side and then running parallel to the tail tip, in a sort of curved "H" shape. He also wears what appears to be a small chain around the very base of his neck where it just meets the chest. Connected to the chain are two protruding strips of silk cloth with fancy embroidery--one on the back that extends between his wing-shoulders and looks like a sort of cape, and an opposite one on the front that hangs freely.
His naughty parts are almost the same color as the dark teal outer scales, but they look much darker in contrast just because they come from between the lighter cyan belly plates. His testes are internal and unseen. His penis is dark teal and has a somewhat gently curved design--no bulges or ridges large enough to actually affect anything, but just enough to give the shaft a "wavy" appearance and feel. His head is distinguishable from the rest of the shaft by the presence of a corona. However, the head still tapers to a non-distinct point, and the feel and sensitivity seems largely the same across all areas. One can only assume that the distinct head, much like the gentle curves, is simply there for texture and appearance.
